University students of both Diploma, Undergraduate or Post-graduate level undergoing this programme are known as ‘interns/trainees’ and will have the hands-on opportunity to work with industry experts and get exposed to real-world assignments such as overcoming business challenges at the workplace.
Securemetric’s Internship Programme that ranges from 3-to-6-month programme is designed to to foster innovation and individual achievements.
Our interns will also benefit in learning:
- Leadership management from department managers on executing strategies, manage stakeholders, monitor reports and more. As an intern, you’ll be given an invaluable platform to observe the theoretical concepts learned in your courses and apply them to a competitive and fast-paced cybersecurity environment.
- In business performances through In-house training and development sessions as well career counselling to explore their job interests within the company and its affiliated subsidiaries across the Southeast Asian region. Be involved in analysing market trends and be exposed with partners across the Securemetric Group, with incredible opportunities to explore new solutions and interact with global clients.
- Hands-on training from team members and supervisors to boost operational excellence on strategic collaborations.
Since the programme was first introduced, we’ve had close to a 40% conversion rate from interns to permanent hires! Undoubtedly, the journey may not be an easy one and our interns will constantly have challenges thrown their way with individual or group assignments, or even external or international project experiences at times.
That being said, it’s certainly not impossible. If you’re someone who loves learning about the latest technology and aims to keep pushing yourself to propel to greater heights, this programme will exceed your expectations.
INTERN (Technology Department)
Responsibilities and Duties
- Plan, direct and coordinate the timely execution of assigned projects.
- Liaise with research engineers on the new technology applied to products development.
- Responsible for analysis of current programs including performance, diagnosis and troubleshooting of problematic programs and designing solutions to problematic programming.
- Tests company products or new updates to ensure the logic and syntax are correct and that program results are accurate.
- Documents a new / changes on the functional and design specification of the
products.
Skills and specifications
- Disciplined and meticulous when it comes to documentation and time management.
- Good communication skills.
- Independent and self-motivated
Education and Qualifications
- Education background in Software Engineering, Information Technologies, Computer Science or related course in computers/technology.
- Able to adapt a new technology.
- Highly motivated, creative to develop security products Good command in English.
